Actor Ajith as Sathyadev in Yennai Arindhaal movie is released today as premier show worldwide firt show in Malaysia! Did the movie really live up to the expectations! lets see the synopsis below and there are some spoilers.



GauthamVasudev Menon and has an ensemble star cast starting with Superstar Ajith Kumar, AnushkaShetty, Trisha and Arun Vijay.



This film effectively captures the episodes in the life of a honest police officer, Sathyadev aka Sathya, our protagonist. Sathya puts duty in front of other things, a quality which in turn plants hurdles in his personal life. In spite of the challenges thrown at him and loss of his loved ones, Sathya risks his life to fight anti social forces thereby making his city a safer place to live in. This is also a who-done-it investigation on the murder of Sathya’s fiancĂ©e Hemanika. His journey takes him around the world and back, filled with thrilling action and suspense.




The film opens in the present, where a prominent scene takes place inside an Emirates aircraft, where the heroineThenmozhi, stumbles upon Sathya in flight. They start off as two strangers travelling together from the US to India, sharing adjacent seats in the business class. But in course of their long journey, they get to know each other better, and the heroine inadvertently falls in love with the hero.



The film then travels through their second encounter at a coffee shop, where the heroine proposes her liking towards the hero. But suddenly the duo get attacked by a gang of masked men. Sathya successfully wards off the attack and saves Thenmozhi. But Thenmozhi is perplexed as to the reason behind the attack. On their way back from the hospital, Sathya reveals the real motive and reasons behind the attack.

The story now travels in flash back, where we find the 12 year old Sathya, after his untimely death of his father, wondering to take which path to take in life- the one of righteousness or of crime.

Later, we see him in an undercover mission, where he befriends a gangster- Victor, to get access to a dreaded gang. Sathya and Victor becomes friends, but Sathya never forgets his original mission. He takes out Victor and the gang in shoot out. Victor survives, while the rest of the gang is destroyed by Sathya.

Sathya continues in his journey as a cop, hunting down more criminals and becoming a top cop. He meets a woman, Hemanika, and they fall in love. Hemanika is a divorcee with a 2 year old daughter. Their relationship develops over a period of 4 years. They agree to get married, but the night before their wedding Hemanika gets killed.

A devastated Sathya, wants to take revenge, but holds himself back for the sake of the little girl. And to his frustration, neither he, nor the other cops can find out any leads on the murder. One such lead infact lures Sathya in to a trap, which almost gets him killed. Sathya decides to take off from his dangerous profession for the sake of the little girl.

The two of them start having a quiet life, when another issue crops up, and a friend requests Sathya’s help to resolve a kidnapping case. Sathya reluctantly steps in and solves the crime, but in the process, comes face to face with his old nemesis, Victor. Sathya realizes that Victor has had a larger role to play in his tragedies than he had earlier envisioned.

The rest of the story follows the cat and mouse game between the ex-cop and the dreaded criminal, with each of them trying to gain the upper hand. A series of action sequences and high adrenaline situations arises, before we end in a very surprising climax.
